New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:
- June 20 – Steven McCabe Bartlett, 35, Bloomington, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear in a case involving felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. He was transferred in from the Monroe County Jail. His bond in the Greene County case is set at $10,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Maj. George Dallaire was the arresting officer.
- June 20 – Kevin Douglas Johnson, 44, Linton, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of felony burglary, residential entry and theft. His bond was set at $23,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Linton Police Detective Paul Clark was the arresting officer.
Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
