New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:
- May 17 – Allen Dale Willis, 56, Indianapolis, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence in a case involving a conviction for two felony counts of causing serious bodily injury while operating a motor vehicle with a Schedule I or II substance in body, and felony possession of methamphetamine in an amount over three grams. He was being held without bond. Greene County Jail Officer Darren McDonald was the arresting officer.
- May 17 – Caleb Daniel Baker, 18, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of felony burglary and misdemeanor theft, criminal mischief and criminal trespass. His bond was set at $12,500 surety with ten percent allowed. He was released later the same day after posting bond.
- May 17 – Sherry L. Pratt, 48, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor domestic battery. Her bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent allowed. She was released on May 18 after posting bond. Linton Police Officer Indiana Miller was the arresting officer.
Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
