New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:
- March 2 – Travis Scott Hale, 37, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence in a case involving misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Dennis Conaway was the arresting officer.
- March 2 – Matthew Carter, 36, Indianapolis, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor operating a vehicle without ever having received a license and warrants in other previous cases. The amount of his bond is not clear. Indiana State Police Trooper John Yung was the arresting officer.
- March 3 – Dakota Andrew Thomas Bruns, 20, Edwardsport, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. His bond was set at $500 surety with ten percent allowed. He was released later the same day after posting bond. Worthington Deputy Marshal James Harrington was the arresting officer.
- March 3 – Brayton Ray Michael Cliver, 21, Vincennes, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of misdemeanor possession of a synthetic drug, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia with a prior. His bond was set at $2,500 surety with ten percent allowed. he was released on March 4 after posting bond. Worthington Deputy Marshal James Harrington was the arresting officer.
Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
