New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:
- March 19 – Calvin L. Griffin, 25, Indianapolis, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor reckless driving. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed.
- March 19 – Stacie A. Reed, 50, Spencer, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence in a case involving misdemeanor possession of marijuana. She was being held without bond. Greene County Jail Officer Michelle Hollars was the arresting officer.
- March 19 – Matthew Phillip Stancik, 40, Ellettsville, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a preliminary charge of felony failure to return to lawful detention, and a warrant for failure to report to serve sentence in a misdemeanor case. He was held without bond on the second warrant and for the first, his bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Davis Aerne was the arresting officer.
- March 20 – David Carl Foster, 52, Bloomfield, was arrested on preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was being held without bond.
Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
