I’ve written before about Stella who was deep into her 80s when I first knew her fifty plus years ago. She was a delightful lady who had lived far beyond her ability to grasp the newest technologies and paradigms of the 60s. Imagine her struggle with such today.
I grew up in the country. There are some aspects of living in or near the city that are far removed from that life. As Kris Kristofferson said in his song Sunday Morning Coming Down, “I caught the Sunday smell of someone frying chicken, and it took me back to something that I lost somehow, somewhere along the way.”
Ralph E. Hiatt, age 88 of Lyons, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2018, at his residence. Ralph was born in Cass Township in Sullivan County on April 8, 1930, the son of Leslie Russle Hiatt & Millie Edith (Saucerman) Hiatt.
