Stanley, Justin
Justin Edward Stanley of Route 2 in Worthington, Indiana, passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2008, at his residence. He was 24 years old, born November 22, 1983, in Bloomington, the son of Richard Stanley and Roberta Frye Stanley. Justin Stanley was a graduate of White River Valley High School with the Class of 2002. He was a mechanic at the Triad Coal Mine in Freelandville, Indiana and he owned JS Excavating.
His family included: his father Richard Stanley and wife Beth Stanley of Worthington; his mother Roberta Knowles and husband Dennis Knowles of Bloomington; daughter Kinsley Stanley at home in Worthington; his little buddy Kayden; his sister Natashia Stanley; maternal grandparents Nila Frye of Lyons, Donald Frye, Sr. and wife Naola Frye of Solsberry, and Patrick Knowles of Bloomington; paternal grandparents Percy Zimmerman and Glenda Zimmerman of Worthington; aunts Kathie West of Indianapolis, Lorena Frye of Lyons and Teresa English of Lyons; uncles Don Frye, Jr., Brian Smith and Jay English, all of Lyons, and Terry West of Indianapolis.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Welch & Cornett Worthington Chapel with Pastor Patrick Knowles officiating. The place of burial will be Worthington Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. Dyer, Jo Anne
Jo Anne Dyer of Worthington passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was 53 years old, born April 3, 1955 in Linton, the daughter of James R. “Rusty” and Betty Jo (Brown) Dyer.
Her family included: a son, Winston Noel Allen; a daughter, Rachael Louise Dyer; a brother, James R. Dyer, Jr.; sisters, Susan (Phillip Hudson) Dyer and Janet (Nick) Skinner; nieces, Jessica and Kristen Laue; step-mother, Nancy Dyer; aunts, Marjorie (Gene) Miller and Ruth Dyer; uncles, Robert H. (Valerie) Brown and Frank Gourdoze. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private family service was planned. Memorials may be given to the Greene County Humane Society in memory of Jo Anne. Welch & Cornett Funeral Service in Worthington provided assistance.
Sinclair, Morris E.
Morris E. Sinclair of Lewis passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at the Shakamak Good Samaritan Center in Jasonville, Indiana. He was 79 years old, born on May 3, 1929, in Odon, Indiana, the son of Alvey and Alma (Henderson) Sinclair.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served during the Korean War. He retired from the National Electrical Union Local #1392 of Indianapolis. He attended the Coalmont Church of God and was a lifetime member of the VFW of Worthington.
His family included: his wife, Mary L. (Hussong) Trimmer Sinclair of Lewis; eight daughters, Diane Sinclair Gould of Bristol, Julie Sinclair of Seattle, Washington, Jill Sinclair (Tim) Holmes of Bristol, Patty Jean (Bob) Montney of Linton, Robin (Nathan) Ford of Switz City, Marion Whittaker of Switz City, Barbara (Jim) Davis of Terre Haute, Jean Ann Evans of Phoenix, Arizona; four sons, Richard Lynn (Liz) Williams of Worthington, Edward (April) Hildebrand of New Orleans, Louisiana, Michael (Barb) Cullison of Linton, and Kenneth (Kenilyn) Trimmer of Lewis; one brother, Don (Connie) Sinclair of Odon; one sister, Nancy (Dick) Stickles of Seymour; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents; first wife, Mary Lou (Daken) Sinclair; second wife, Patricia Ann Sinclair; two sons, David and Jeff Sinclair; a brother, Max Sinclair; and a grandson, Ian Sinclair.
A funeral service was held at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington on Monday, May 19, 2008, with Joy Frank Rehmel officiating. Burial followed at the Worthington Cemetery with a military graveside service conducted by the Worthington VFW. Memorial donations can be made to the family through the funeral home. McDonald, Wanda L.
Wanda L. McDonald of Bloomfield, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Bloomington Hospital. She was 75 years old, born May 24, 1932 in Orange County, Indiana, the daughter of Charles E. and Maymie K. (Bradley) Graves. She was a homemaker.
Her family included: five daughters, Pat and her husband Garry Emmons of Cuzco, Karen and her husband Gene Trinkle of Paoli, Janet and her husband Steve Wininger of French Lick, Judy and her husband Gary Verseman of Bloomfield, and Susan and her husband Gregg Roudebush of Worthington; three sons, Dan and his wife Terri McDonald of Bloomfield, Darren and his wife Michele McDonald of Worthington, and Doug McDonald of Bloomfield; one brother, Charles Graves of Florida; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron L. (Mac) McDonald, on October 4, 2001; one great-grandson, Michael Lee Hardin; and her parents.
A funeral service was conducted Friday, May 16 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. The place of burial was Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield. Calvert, Delbert Eugene
Delbert Eugene Calvert was born in Bloomington, Indiana, on May 30, 1930, the son of Kenneth and Hilda Fern (Hudson) Calvert. He passed away at the age of 77 on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Cypress Glen East Nursing Home in Port Arthur, Texas.
He had worked at the RCA plant in Bloomington for 35 years. He served in the United States Air Force from Ocotber 1949 to October 1953. He was a charter member of the Switz City Volunteer Fire Department in Switz City, Indiana, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
His family included: sons Michael (Tammy) Calvert of Lyons and Ricky (Ruby) Calvert of Nederland, Texas; daughters Donna (Butch) Guillory of Port Arthur, Texas and Connie Thompson of Glendale, Arizona; step-children Eddie (Linda) Carrie of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Joe Carrie of Bridgeport, Illinois, Chester Carrie of Mooresville, Illinois, Virginia (Fred) Jackson of Portland, Indiana, Shirley Fox of Bridgeport, Illinois and Mary Ann Whitmer of Christopher, Illinois; brothers Donald (Betty) Calvert of Worthington and Kenneth Calvert of Switz City; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; second wife, Edith; one brother and one step-son.
