Donald P. Hamlin of Worthington passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton, Indiana. He was 67 years old, born May 19, 1940, in Greene County, Indiana, the son of Herschel and Iva Grace (Arthur) Hamlin.

Donnie was a carpenter, operated his own remodeling business and farmed.

Survivors include his wife, Janice (Johnson) Hamlino of Worthington; 0ne daughter, Cami (James) Bredeweg of Lyons; two granddaughters, Megan and Morgan Bredeweg, both of Lyons; two sisters-in-law, Glenda (Jim) Bruce of Pittsboro and Susan (Doc) Herndon of Jasonville; one brother-in-law, Paul “Mick” (Devonna) Johnson of Midland; nine nieces and nephews, 21 great -nieces and nephews and two great-great-nephews; and three cousins, Earlene (Arkie) Vandeventer of Worthington, Joyce Shepherd of Bedford and Lois Duke of Mooresville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A public graveside service was conducted Friday afternoon at the Worthington Cemetery with Buford Smith officiating. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society. Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington assisted with the arrangements.
