Knoy, Maxine E.

MaxineKnoy.jpgMaxine E. Knoy of Worthington passed away Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was 79 years old, born in Shelbyville, Indiana on June 23, 1927, the daughter of Marshall Sr. and Alice (Marley) King.

She was a homemaker, previously owned a beauty shop in Worthington, and worked at Billie's Style Shoppe. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Worthington.

Survivors include her son, Ellis Knoy of Worthington; two brothers, Bob King of Ocala, Florida and Raymond King of Vincennes; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie B. "Pete" Knoy on July 21, 1991; a brother, Marshall King, Jr.; a sister, Phyllis Epperson; and her parents.

A memorial service was scheduled for Thursday, May 31 at 6:00 p.m. at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Worthington Chapel with visitation on Thursday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service.

A private burial will be held in the Worthington Cemetery at a later date.
