The Worthington Flood

Floodwaters have surrounded Worthington and I've been out taking pictures and posting updates at www.gcdailyworld.com where I am a staff writer. Several people have asked for pictures and I will post them here sometime later tonight. Until then, please visit the Greene County Daily World's website for the latest information and some pictures of floodwaters around Worthington.

This is such a great site for those of us who were born and raised in Worthington. I have sent it to my children to encourage them to find out news about Greene Co. and my hometown.
Keep up the good work. There are a lot of us out here.

Thanks for the pictures, my sister Judy Willis lives on Main St across from School. I have been talking to her every day. These pictures really describe what the Town is facing. I live in Northern California and these pictures brought home very close to me. I hope the waters will recede very soon. We will keep the town in our prayers.

All of my life people have talked about the great flood of 1913 and I'm sure it was bad. From this day forth the topic of conversations will be the Great Flood of 2008. I have never seen the river so high. I am thankful that all people are safe. We have watched it from the vantage point of Plainfield, Indiana.
